Aloha
I was born and raised on Maui. Right before my fifth birthday, we moved to the island of Hawaii. Growing up, I spent days at the beach, hiking, and adventuring, when not in school. When of age, I joined the Boy Scouts, and outdoor skills and camping knowledge were honed. I learned honor and respect for the outdoors, and left places better than when we arrived.

Relocating to Tucson, Arizona, after my parents’ divorce. I enjoyed the desert scenery by hiking and camping with my father. Still finding beauty in nature among the cacti and occasional rattlesnake. When not exploring canyons and bordering, my father and I would do indoor climbing. Also, I found skateboarding a suitable alternative to not being able to surf and play in the water.

As my father is an avid traveler, we took occasional trips overseas, like to Portugal, Thailand, and Peru. Exposing me to different cultures, landscapes, schools of thought, and ways of life while exploring the world. A true education in itself.
After graduating high school and attending some college in Tucson, I relocated once again, this time to Steamboat Springs, Colorado.

I found true freedom in the seasonal work life in Colorado. The joy of flying down the mountain on my snowboard, and playing in the snow, while saving money working an a restaurant. Ample time to travel in the off season. Japan, Indonesia, and Mexico to name a few. And returning to a beautiful green landscape and playing in the river, biking and camping during summers. Occasional Thanksgivings home in Hawaii, before returning to the snow for the winter. Living in accordance with the seasons and what mother nature allows. I lived this way for the better part of a decade.

In early 2019, due to ill health and in need of healing, I returned to Hawaii.
I currently call the island of Hawaii my home. I’ve been practicing yoga since 2019. After attending a beach drop-in, I fell in love. In 2022, my teacher planted the seed that I ought to attend yoga teacher training. That seed grew for a year.

In 2023, I attended my first yoga teacher training. The training took place in Santa Teresa, on the Nicoya Peninsula in Costa Rica. Blue Zone! Through “Sacred Paths Yoga,” I received my 200-hour certification in a Vinyasa-style Ashtanga-focused teaching. I have been sharing what I learned ever since.
In 2024, I attended a Teacher Un-training in Ubud, on Bali, Indonesia. Through “Heart of Yoga,” I received a 200-hour certification focusing on Hatha Yoga.

Continuing to share what has been shared with me, my only wish is that I can help others find the light and love that resides in us all.
